Fred Eerdekens
Short Story

Fred Eerdekens is a Belgian artist who combines text, light projection and sculpture for a very cool interplay where the text is only revealed by viewing the shadow of the light on the sculpture at the perfect angle. Sometimes you have to twist and turn, sometimes you have to walk around the object to catch the phrase hidden in the light and shadows, forcing you to participate in the installation as you solve it. I hope he has an installation in New York someday so I can decode his artwork for myself; I do so love to decode things (that phases of the moon code in MoMA for instance, THRILLED me.)
